Watchmen on the Wall:  Taking a Stand
__________________________________________________________________

Dear Valley Pastor:

We have never done this before, but we are attaching below a message directly from The Family Research Council that contains some great suggestions and tools for use in our churches next Sunday, which we observe every year as “Sanctity of Life” Sunday.

Whether you plan to dedicate your entire message to this topic or just to make note of it in conjunction with another message that you are preparing, I hope you will find these resources useful as we take a stand together – for Life.

Please also encourage your congregation to join us in the March for Life next Thursday, Jan. 22 — and that you will consider joining us as well. Details are included at the end of this message.

Finally, if you are receiving this but are not a pastor, feel free to draw on these resources for your own use, whether in your Sunday School class, your Home Group, or wherever you find opportunity to raise the banner for Life.

Answering the Call,

Dean Welty, Director
Dr. John Sloop, Chaplain

To All Pastors:

Churches all across America will be focusing on the God-given right to life on Sunday, January 18, as we mark the awful anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision 42 years ago on January 22, 1973, legalizing the murder of the unborn.

The Church Ministries Team of Family Research Council has produced a church-friendly Bulletin Insert just in time for use on that Sunday. Simply download the Bulletin Insert PDF, print it out, copy it double-sided, cut down the middle, then distribute the half-sheet copies inside your Sunday bulletin or worship folder. For the KJV Bulletin Insert, click on the link.

Also, here is a link to a compelling video you can show in your church. For those who can, join multiplied thousands in DC for the March for Life on Thursday, January 22, and drop by FRC (or tune in) for Pro-LifeCon.

Thank you for checking out these FREE resources to equip your people to engage our culture and government. Thomas Jefferson declared:

“The care of human life and happiness and not their destruction is the first and only legitimate object of good government.”

I encourage you to speak out on this vital moral issue of our time — the dignity of every human being made in the image of God, born and unborn.

Standing for Faith, Family and Freedom,
Dr. Kenyn M. Cureton
Vice President for Church Ministries
