This is a Final Call to join the March for Life in Washington DC this Thursday, Jan. 22.  Therefore, if you haven’t yet done so, please get your reservations in by noon tomorrow (Wed.)

Also, please check the list of marchers at the bottom to make sure your name is included if you plan to go and to let us know if there are any who should be added.

Background

It has been 42 long years since the U.S. Supreme Court “legalized” abortion in 1973.  The cost of that tragic decision is staggering, with an estimated 56 million unborn babies aborted since then.  That is five times the total number of people killed in the Holocaust, including six million Jews.  And we said it could never happen in America.

“Silent No More”!

Not only are the aborted babies lost forever, but the mothers too bear the lingering pain and often the physical and emotional consequences of that fateful decision.  We march with and for them as well, hundreds of “Silent No More” post-abortive women who carry signs that say “I Regret My Abortion” and who then share their painful stories in front of the Supreme Court — but with a happy ending of repentance and God’s forgiveness.

Our Mission

The march is a powerful call on the Court to overturn Roe v. Wade .   It is also a call on Congress and the President to enact new laws that will protect our “Inalienable Right to Life” from conception until natural death.   And finally, it is an urgent reminder to the nation and to the entire world that we must end this horrible slaughter of the unborn and rebuild a Culture of Life in America.

Late Flash:   Cong. Bob Goodlatte plans to meet with us immediately before the March if at all possible.  As Chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee, he has worked hard to introduce and to pass several pro-life bills, including a No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act as well as the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (HR 36) which could come up for a vote later this week.  Note:   Del. David LaRock is introducing a similar bill in the Virginia House of Delegates.

Our Plan

Buses will leave from the Blessed Sacrament Church in Harrisonburg at 8:00 a.m., with stops in New Market at 8:30, in Luray at 9:00, and Front Royal at 9:30.  We will return around 9:00 p.m.  The cost is $20 per person.  We still have seats available so, if you have not yet done so, please reserve immediately by return e-mail to family@valleyfamilyforum.org or by calling (540) 438- 8966.

I sincerely hope you will join us for this great March.  It’s the least we can do for those who have no voice but ours.  Bring your friends and make a difference for life, because we won’t give up, we won’t give in, and we will not quit until we win!

We won’t give up, we won’t give in, and we won’t quit until we win!

For Life!
