From Christmas to Culture: A Cry for Revival

“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal
their land.”     God:  II Chron. 7:14

“If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.
”Ronald Reagan (1984)

What Would Jesus Say Today?

“It’s a Wonderful Time of Year” when we again listen to angels singing “Joy to the World” as shepherds watched over their flocks.  We follow a bright star in a “Silent and Holy Night” to a manger where wise men came bearing gifts to a new-born baby.

But what does that have to do with how we live our lives today?  For example, what if Jesus were born in America now?  Would He join our celebration, or would He weep over us as He did over Jerusalem?

What would He say about ongoing efforts to ban His Word and even His Name in our schools, our courts, and other public places?  About our continued slaughter of over one million unborn babies every year and the ways in which we are desecrating His design for marriage?

A Cry for Revival in America

What would He do and, just as importantly, what can we do to help restore America to the Biblical principles on which it was founded and has prospered for over 400 years?

Is it too late for another Great Awakening in America like those of the 18th and 19th centuries that brought us our national independence and freedom for the slaves?

Can we survive as a nation without another Great Revival – like the one God called for in II Chronicles 7:14?

Our Guests

Those are some of the questions we’ll be asking our guests as we discuss “Christmas and Culture:  A Cry for Revival”.

Kerry Willis is the Vision Pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene in Harrisonburg as well as a nationally known speaker and author.  Several years ago, he spent an entire year preaching a series of messages on II Chron. 7:14, leading up to a weekend of Revival in his church.

Angie Williams is also an ordained pastor, as well as an author and well-known speaker.  For many of us, she represents what the apostles said and did as “ones who were sent” to spread Good News to the nations.
