Listed below are three special events that are designed to defend and advance our Judeo-Christian values and Constitutional principles, to restore the vision of America as a shining City on a Hill, and to rebuild a culture of Life, Faith, Family, Freedom, and Virtue here in the Valley and across Virginia.
Therefore, please mark your calendars and participate when and where possible.
FRC Roundtable for Pastors Only: Pray, Vote, Stand
1. Thu., Sept. 17: The Family Research Council is inviting leading pastors from across America to participate in an exclusive, interactive, Virtual Pastors’ Roundtable live from Washington DC from noon to 1:30. This event is exclusively for pastors, ministers, and members of the clergy.
FRC Director Tony Perkins and other National Leaders have noted that the work to advance biblical truth has not stopped, and is particularly critical in these trying times. As a result, the opportunities are greater now than ever for the church to be a stabilizing and encouraging spiritual, social, and political force in the midst of unusual uncertainty.
As one of our own Valley pastors reminded us from his pulpit several weeks ago, the Bible describes the sons of Issachar as men “Who had an understanding of the times, and who knew what to do.” (I Chronicles 12:32). They were “influencers”, and such is our need in America today. Another one of our Valley pastors is leading his church in a weeks-long spiritual REVIVAL.
I personally heard both of them and several others speak recently here in the Valley, and know there are many others like them. Therefore, I am encouraged, because if ever there was a time in America when we need more “influencers” like them, it is now.
So, if you are interested in joining other leading pastors from here and across America for this Virtual Pastors’ Roundtable, click here to REGISTER NOW. (In the event that your pastor may not have received this invitation, please feel free to share this with him or her.)

“The Return” and “Franklin Graham Prayer March” in Washington D.C.
3. Sat., Sept. 26: There will be a Global Day of Prayer and Repentance rally on the National Mall in Washington DC from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a roster of nationally known Christian leaders and speakers.
— “The Return”: Its purpose is to call America back to its Christian foundations, coming before God in confession and repentance for the ways in which we have disobeyed Him, removed Him from our lives, and forgotten Him. It’s a call on God for His forgiveness, for revival, for healing, and for restoration. Simulcasts are also available, in addition to the live rally. For more information, go to https://thereturn.org/.
— “Franklin Graham Prayer March”: As part of “The Return”, this mid-day prayer march will begin at 12:00 from the Lincoln Memorial and end near the reflecting pool below the US Capitol around 2:00 p.m. Go to https://prayermarch2020.com for more information.
For the March itself, a chartered bus will leave from the Hobby Lobby parking lot in Harrisonburg at 9:00 a.m., arriving at the Lincoln Memorial about 11:00 or 11:30. The cost is $45/person, including a tip for the driver. Water will be provided on the bus, but bring your own snacks and drinks. Also wear comfortable walking shoes for the two-mile walk.
— Museum of the Bible: At the end of the march, the bus will proceed to the Museum of the Bible for a short visit of about two hours. In addition to its wonderful exhibits, the Museum also offers a book and gift shop and a restaurant. The bus will then depart around 4:30 for return to the pick-up location in Harrisonburg.
