Augusta and Rockingham: August 1-5 & 14-19
_________________________________________________________________
Next month is Fair Time in the Valley, and the Valley Family Forum is again sponsoring a booth at both the Augusta County Fair at Expoland from Tuesday, Aug. 1 to 5, and at the Rockingham County Fair from Monday, Aug. 14 to 19.
We would welcome your help at both fairs. See below for details and please let us know what times are most convenient for you.
The Booths: Displays and Purpose
On Life: Our primary focus continues to be on rebuilding a culture of life. To that end, we will feature the always popular display of “Touch of Life” life-size fetal models ranging from 12 to 26 weeks; take-home packets of life-size, 12-week-old pre-born “Precious Ones” as well as the “Precious Feet” lapel pins; and a playful baby-in-the-womb DVD that everyone loves to watch.
Votes Matter: Along with that, we will have Voter Registration Application Forms for new voters so they will be able to vote their pro-life, pro-family values at the polls in November. All of our state-level leaders and General Assembly delegates are on the ballot.
We will also have the 2016-2017 Legislative Report Cards from The Family Foundation that expose a huge “Values” gap between Democrats and Republicans in the VA General Assembly during those two legislative sessions and which may help inform your vote in November.
IGWT: In addition, we will have a display of the “In God We Trust” license plate that the Valley Family Forum promoted and the VA General Assembly approved six years ago with help from Senator Mark Obenshain and Delegate Dickie Bell. It is now registered to more than 40,000 Virginia vehicles and has skyrocketed to near the top of over 200 specialty plates available in the state.
You can see a sample of the plate and order it online at https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/vehicles/#splates/info.asp?idnm=IGWT or in person at your local DMV Customer Service Center.
