For God and Country
Some things just have to be repeated! So, here it is. Whether you were present or not, we are airing again this weekend some more highlights of that very special Celebration of God and Country dinner with Bishop E.W. Jackson that took place at JMU six years ago.
Bishop E.W. Jackson
What you saw last week in Part I was just a warm-up to what you will see in this program. Bishop Jackson will spell out some specific concerns and make clear what we can and must do to renew our spiritual heritage, to reverse the destructive government policies of recent years, and to restore America to its Biblical foundations for our children and grandchildren. It’s a message you will not want to miss – and share with your family and friends as well.
As many of you know, Jackson is the Founder and President of S.T.A.N.D: “Staying True to America’s National Destiny”. He is a former Marine, Harvard Law School graduate, and pastor who became so concerned about the direction of America that he decided to take a S.T.A.N.D. and run for public office, first for the U.S. Senate in 2012 and then again in 2013 for Lt. Governor of Virginia.
The Wilberforce Award and the Faithful Men
You will also have front row seats for the presentation of our 2nd annual Wilberforce Award to an exceptional Valley couple for their leadership in promoting Life, Faith, Family, and Freedom in the Valley and across the Commonwealth. The program will also feature “The Faithful Men” in their signature song “Let Freedom Ring”.
Valley Faith in Action
VFIA airs five times each week on WAZT-TV, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, again at 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Sunday, and finally at Wednesday midnight. That is on Comcast Cable Channel 13 in the central Shenandoah Valley area but varies in other locations — including on WIAV-TV at 8:00 p.m. Friday in Washington DC.
You can also watch this and other VFIA programs online HERE anytime.
If you would like to help support these programs, you can send your tax-deductible gift to the Valley Family Forum at 3465 Izaak Walton Dr., Harrisonburg, 22801.
Dinner Reminder: He’s Back!
If you haven’t already done so, please get your reservations in now for our 16th annual “Celebration of God and Country” dinner at JMU beginning at 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 19.
Bishop Jackson will be back again with an electrifying call for a New Christian Awakening in America and “Red Skelton” will also return to deliver his unique homily on the Pledge of Allegiance.
Southern Hospitality will provide a special blend of God and Country music, and we will give special recognition to our military, law enforcement, and first responder personnel — active duty and retired.
Seats are still available, $25/person or $200 for a table of eight. To confirm, please call (540) 438-8966 or write to family@valleyfamilyforum.org.
